🚿 The Step Nobody Sees — But The One That Matters Most!

When we build a custom shower, there's one step that happens before any tile, before any grout, before any of the beautiful finishes you'll ever see...

It's WATERPROOFING. 💧

No one ever looks at it. But if it's skipped — or done wrong — the damage can be catastrophic. We're talking mold, structural rot, costly repairs, and a complete tear-out.

At Family Flooring & Renovations, we NEVER cut corners on this critical step. We use premium waterproofing systems to protect your investment from the inside out — because quality you can't see is still quality you can count on. ✅

⚠️ This is why proper waterproofing matters MORE than you think.

This beautiful brand-new shower looked perfect on the surface — until it wasn't. The previous contractor skipped one of the most critical steps in any shower installation: proper waterproofing.

The result? Water silently leaked through, damaging the brand-new shower AND the ceiling below it. 💧

By the time we were called in, the damage was too far gone to repair. We had to tear the ENTIRE shower out and start completely from scratch.

Here's what every homeowner needs to know:

✅ Always ask your contractor exactly how they waterproof your shower
✅ Proper waterproofing protects your subfloor, framing, and everything below
✅ Cutting corners on this step will cost you FAR more in the long run
✅ A beautiful tile job means nothing if the waterproofing underneath isn't done right

At Family Flooring & Renovations, we never skip steps. Every shower we install is waterproofed correctly — because your investment deserves to last.

Don't let this happen to you. 📞 Call or text us today at (203) 962-9578 for a free estimate.
