A garden flag in the making… I had a few issues doing the marbling technique at the bottom. There is something I wanted to do to this flag after it’s dry, so we’ll see if that kinda hides those boo boos or if I make it worse! 🤞

The Pumpkin Seeds stencil turns a scrap piece of tea towel into a fun fall project!

I had originally intended to make the pumpkin with green leaves but the design is really intricate. I did not like it all done in Papaya, so I added a wood pumpkin and some embellishments to give it a dimensional effect instead. I like it even better this way!

Sometimes those little oops turn into something great!

Chalking Basics Series:

Miscellaneous Tools

Other useful things to have on hand when chalking are:

- stir sticks and trays to stir paste/ink or mix custom colors,
- q-tips and toothpicks to help fix mistakes,
- cleaning wipes (NOT baby wipes) can help clean stencils or make them sticky again.

You can almost smell the scents of the coming season with the Autumn Living stencil. It makes a beautiful one and done project, but come back to see how it looks with some extra touches.

Chalking Basics Series:

Board Erasers

Board erasers help you clean stencils and surfaces. Wet your sponge and rub it across your surface until all the paste is removed. Rub again to make sure there is no ghosting from the previous design, and you’re ready to chalk again!

The Tiered Pumpkins heat transfer is such a fun design! I put it on a tea towel and attached it to a felt banner for a sophisticated dash of Halloween decor.
