The ceiling had to be redone as well due to water damage.

Didn’t get after photos since the clear coat was still drying and looks too glossy on camera. Maybe next time 🙃

This was a DC gallery project from some years back when larger scale projects were more the norm.

Still yet, the effects are doable on any scale (along with any number of others. Anything that exists, and some 🙃)

A lot of my work is negligible on camera, but has practical applications.

Such as, matching this replacement door to the one that had deteriorated.

To do so involved graining effects and color matches for glaze applications to match the salvageable trim around it. (Was able to restore the damage on trim)

Most recent sky painting (stylized/subtle) done so when lighting is dim, or off, the sky fades more to a night sky (stars along the outer rim) and day when lighting is on. (It didn’t show up well on camera for dim light shots, but seemed to do the trick in person 🙂)

Portfolio:

This was an ongoing restoration project at Oak Spring Garden.

I had the privilege of being tasked with the decorative restorations throughout the estate a few years back.

In the photos, are matched/replicated finishes on floors/walls of what had existed prior. The initial work had been done 30 plus years prior and that which I was unable to salvage had to be redone completely. But, salvaged all that was possible 🙂
