📢 IMPORTANT ARTWORK & AI DESIGN UPDATE
AI has become an awesome tool for bringing some incredibly creative concepts, uniform ideas, and mockups to life. We love seeing the ideas our customers come up with using it.
However, there is an important difference between an AI generated rendering and production ready artwork.
AI can create some wild fonts, effects, patterns, logos, textures, and details that look great in a rendering, but many of those elements do not actually exist as usable design assets.
Even when an AI platform claims an image is “vector” or provides a larger file, that does not necessarily mean the artwork is truly production ready vector artwork. Images can still contain pixelation, inconsistent details, distorted lettering, effects that cannot be separated, and elements that must be completely recreated by a graphic designer.
In some cases, recreating an AI concept means our designers have to hand draw logos, rebuild patterns, recreate lettering, or even build custom alphabets from scratch to make the design actually work for production.
Up until this point, Uplift Creative Center has absorbed a significant amount of that additional design time.
Moving forward, we will no longer be able to absorb those costs.
Effective immediately:
AI renderings requiring extensive recreation will be billed at our custom graphic design rate of $50 per hour.
There will be no extensive AI rendering recreation included under our standard artwork and setup fee.
Our standard art fee will continue to cover normal uniform and apparel setup using production ready logos, existing fonts, stock vector elements, standard patterns, and reasonable design work and revisions.
We are absolutely still happy to work from your AI concepts! They are a great way to show us your vision. We simply ask customers to understand that creating the idea with AI and rebuilding that idea into actual production artwork are two very different things.
If extensive recreation is required, we will communicate that with you before proceeding with billable custom design work.
AI is a great concept tool. Our designers are the ones who have to turn that concept into something we can actually manufacture.

SHARING OUR STORIES: The Great Lakes Bay Veterans Coalition approached us to have a conversation with female veterans to gauge ways to better serve them.

We’re inviting female veterans to a private conversation April 17th from 6-7:30 at Live Oak, 711 Ashman, Midland.

The Great Lakes Bay Veterans Coalition will supply pizza and drinks! And we will provide the space and conversation.😊
