Tessa Rohde began her journey in arts and crafts in 2009 and it has since evolved into Colonial Collections Stoneware. With the sole purpose of using her love of traditional, functional, hand made pottery for all to enjoy. Each piece is handcrafted with her desire to create a beautiful piece of art that can be used and appreciated daily. What started as a class to pass the time in Columbia SC, has
turned into a lifelong passion in creating a unique usable art. She sees the endless possibilities to create forms from the soul and the freedom to express oneself through shape, color, and skill. Tessa shows her talent while fulfilling an earthly devotion to the ceramic arts. All of her creations, are individual pieces, no two are exactly alike. Each item is hand thrown on the potter’s wheel, using traditional techniques and methods. Colonial Collections Stoneware is located in a beautiful valley nestled between the Appalachian Mountains and the rise of the Cumberland Plateau. Tessa creates functional tableware, pots and crocks that are traditional in style but unique to the touch, in her home studio in La Follette, Tennessee. Each piece is meant to be used, handled, and enjoyed by you, your friends, and your entire family.
