I always try to figure out the person before even thinking about the space.

The question I always ask: “What feeling do you want your home to give off?”

I started thinking about and remembering some of my fave responses: ( some recent, some years ago)

-“she wears pearls but doesn’t mind jeans and a tee. but still keeps the pearls”

-“so warm and cozy it’s like I’m living in a grandmas cottage”

- “like a drug lord’s library or parlor”

- “like I’m a boss b*tch that made it…and I want everyone to know it”

So yeah, throw out your Pinterest boards. These answers let me know what I’m working with.
