At the Hanover Tavern Antiques Show:
Melissa and Butch Atkinson trade as Old School Antiques in Midlothian, Virginia. Here they offered a large (60" wide) late 18th-century shoe foot settle. It is constructed of yew and features deep cutout side panels. It was priced at $1395. The coverlets date from the mid-19th century and were priced at $250 each. The various stoneware vessels are by several makers and displayed tags indicating that they were once in the collection of the Butler Institute of American Art, Youngstown, Ohio. They were tagged from $85 to $135.
