❤️ Sometimes, you don’t realize how much you’ve missed being part of something until you finally are again. ❤️
Living with a disability and fibromyalgia has changed my life in ways that aren’t always visible to others.
It’s not just the pain, the exhaustion, or the brain fog. It’s the things I’ve had to give up, the plans I’ve had to cancel, and the days when I want so badly to do something but my body simply won’t cooperate.
And then there’s the part people don’t always talk about.
The isolation.
The feeling of watching everyone else go about their lives, working, socializing, accomplishing things, and being part of their communities, while you’re sitting at home wishing you had the energy to do the same.
It’s hard feeling like the world keeps moving while you’re standing still.
I’ve always been someone who enjoys creating, doing things, and feeling productive. Having a disability doesn’t take away those desires. It just makes finding ways to fulfill them a little harder.
That’s why being part of the Milaca Mercantile means more to me than most people probably realize. ❤️
Through LBCrafty, I have a little piece of something bigger than myself.
I can create when my body allows it. I can contribute in my own way. I can be part of a group of talented people and a community that supports small businesses and local dreams.
I may not be able to show up every day. Some days I can’t show up at all. And I’ve had to learn that doing things differently doesn’t mean what I’m doing matters any less.
I’m still here. I still have ideas. I still have dreams. And I still have something to give.
The Milaca Mercantile isn’t just a place where I sell things I’ve made.
It’s a connection to my community.
It’s a reason to keep creating.
It’s a reminder that even though my life looks different than it once did, I can still be part of something meaningful.
And sometimes, that feeling of belonging is worth more than any sale could ever be.
