Okay sure, it sort of fell apart there at the end. But you get my drift. We've still got lots of gorgeous yarn, needles and hooks, notions, etc.

And in case you missed the newsletter earlier this week, we've extended the sale by a month (now it goes through *December* 15) and we've upped the discount to 35% off everything! As always, you get free shipping on all orders over $50, and gift cards and loyalty points are good til we close, so use 'em if ya got 'em.

Also, Kim is recovering very well from his knee replacement surgery ❤️ but he's not ready to fill orders himself yet, so I'm in charge of that department. Call me Trainee Jen and just know I'll do my very best for you. 😁

Well, sigh. Today is our last day in the shop (we'll probably close around 4). We don't know if we should be 😀ing or 😭ing or 🥳ing. So we're pretty much doing all of them simultaneously.

Also, I wrote a poem because that's what I do. 🤓

Six years ago
We started Plum Tree
We called up Dave S
Then said thanks for the key

Then we met Laura
She designed our sweet Farm
Then we met Bobbi
Who brought loads of charm

Then we met Debby
We knew we were set
The three of them, all
Our own triple threat

Thank you, dear Milan
Thanks for the fun
We've loved every second

Of course, our story includes many other important people like Terri, Lisa, and our beloved Crystal. Plus other Milan business owners, nearby LYS owners, dozens of suppliers and reps, and thousands of customers. You all nurtured and grew the Plum Tree with us. Does that sound hokey? Too bad, it's true. 💜💚

Good news! Today we brought in all the shop samples you've appreciated over the last 6 years and they're ready to go home with new owners! Here's how it works:

Every dollar we get for them will be doubled and sent over to Aid in Milan, Inc. when all is said and done. Why? Because we love them and everything they do for our community, plus charitable giving is cool.

Rather than be super picky about pricing, we've assigned each sample either A, B, or C. "A" items (or "Aaaayyy" if you're the Fonz) are $15, "B" items are $30, and "C" items are $45. But with everything 30% off, they actually come to about $10, $20, and $30 respectively.

I feel like somebody's going to ask, so I'm just going to say it: I don't think the amigurumi animals, etc. are for sale but will let you know for sure in a few days.

If you love something so much but can't afford it, let us know. We really are most interested in finding good homes for these beautiful items so we'll figure something out.

Just like everything else in the shop, you can use your loyalty points and gift cards to pay.

Very sorry, all you lovely customers around the country. We're not selling our samples online. We just can't figure out how to do this with technology. (Btw, did y'all know we have customers in all 50 states + Washington DC? Amazeballs.)

Happy ☀️ holiday weekend ☀️ everyone! We are closed today (and totally kickin' back) but open as per yhouzh on Tuesday.

In the meantime, our big honkin' 💰 30% OFF EVERYTHING sale 💰 starts online tomorrow (Monday, Sept 1) and then in the shop on Tuesday. We'll keep this sale going until we close (Sept 20 in the shop and Nov 15 online).

In case you missed it, most of downtown Milan, Michigan has no power this morning. DTE is working on it and has provided a restoration estimate of 8:40am - 4:40pm. :) I'll keep you posted here when the lights come back on.

Funny side note: I texted staff member Laura asking her to print and post a "closed due to no power" sign for the front door, to which she replied "no power, can't print". Once again proving our staff are seriously the brains behind this operation.
