MADS Broke Back Flower Preservation and Resin Crafts After 2 back surgeries and a spinal cord stimulator implant in 2024, I found a creative outlet during those hard times in crafting and floral preservation.

That’s how MADS Broke Back Flower Preservation came to life — “MADS” for my name, Melissa A Dennhardt Shipp, and “Broke Back” for the journey that shaped me. What began an outlet during a time of hardship has become a true passion that I deeply enjoy — creating meaningful, one-of-a-kind keepsakes for every person who brings their flowers to me. One of the questions I get asked all the time is: “Are the flowers fresh when you put them into resin?” ✨

The answer is no — they are actually fully dried first!

Here’s a side-by-side of flowers freshly placed in the drying sand vs. the same flowers 6 weeks later after the drying process 🤍

This is also why I recommend dropping flowers off within 48 hours of your event — the condition they arrive in plays a huge role in how they’ll look once dried and preserved ☺️
