Everyone know what time it is? That's right, it's Girl Scout Cookie Season!

Selling cookies is a great way for Girl Scouts to learn important life skills. According to a Girl Scouts of the USA report, girls who sell cookies learn how to set goals, make decisions, manage money, work with others, and develop business ethics1. In addition, selling cookies helps girls develop confidence, resilience, and communication skills2.

Here are some of the key skills that Girl Scouts learn while selling cookies:

Goal setting: Girls learn how to set goals and work towards achieving them. This helps them develop a sense of purpose and accomplishment.
Decision making: Girls learn how to make decisions about how to sell cookies, what to do with the money they earn, and how to allocate their resources.
Money management: Girls learn how to handle money, make change, and keep track of their finances.
Interacting with customers: Girls learn how to interact with customers, build relationships, and communicate effectively.
Teamwork: Girls learn how to work together as a team, overcome differences, and achieve a common goal.
Selling cookies also teaches girls important values such as honesty, fairness, and responsibility3. By participating in the cookie program, girls develop important life skills that will help them succeed in school, work, and life.
