Today we’re feeling especially grateful.
Grateful for family. Grateful for freedom. Grateful for the ability to build something together with our own hands.

As small business owners, every candle poured, every event hosted, every relationship built… exists because of opportunities and freedoms that so many before us sacrificed to protect.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It’s a reminder that the everyday moments we often rush through working, creating, gathering, laughing with family and friends are privileges built on courage and sacrifice.

Today we pause with gratitude for those who served, those we’ve lost, and the families who carry that weight every day.

Wishing everyone a peaceful Memorial Day.

Love LOVE Love! That the contest is on for 2026!
Our Summer Candles have officially been released and the first CT store carrying them is Where Memories Are Made in Old Saybrook! Please stop in and visit Lynn! Her store is amazing and she is sending us daily tallies on which scent is selling best! Here are the stats as of yesterday. Note: This could change a lot. Historically the sales of these candles are very close. Sunkissed is off to a great start!

It’s my birthday today 🎉

Got to spend part of it the right way… a ride up the coast with my mom, making a couple deliveries and visiting some of the amazing stores we’re lucky to work with.

We stopped by The Bowerbird (Old Lyme, CT) to restock their custom candle Coastal Retreat… always a great feeling seeing our custom creations on the shelf.
Then over to Where Memories Are Made to visit and deliver… they’re officially the first shop in Connecticut carrying our summer collection. The scents Sunkissed & Driftwood ☀️

Quick lunch at Penny Lane Pub (one of our go-to spots), and just like that… simple, solid, meaningful day!

Now it’s time to head home, fire up the grill, and hang with Julianna and the kids.
Grateful for another year. Let’s go. 🔥

This is what it’s really about…

Tonight we welcomed 26 beautiful humans into our space.
A group of 11 women reuniting after years apart…
A mom and daughter we adore…
Friends who join us month after month…
And new faces who came back again, this time bringing their people.

And it hit us (again)…
This isn’t just candle making.

It’s connection.
It’s laughter.
It’s stories being told, memories being made…
and something simple—like a candle—becoming a piece of it all.

We’re just grateful to be a small part of those moments.
And that you get to take a little piece of it home with you.

After 6 incredible years in the candle business…
we’ve made the difficult decision to step away.

It wasn’t easy — but sometimes opportunity comes knocking, and you just have to answer.

We’re excited to announce that Legrify is officially transitioning into a brand new venture…

Shark Teeth Inspired™

That’s right.
We recently acquired a premium boardwalk franchise and will now be specializing in hand-selected, coastal shark teeth — ethically sourced (we think), beautifully displayed, and perfect for gifting.

Julianna has already begun working on packaging (think: luxury mesh pouches ✨),
and Joe will be leading our new “Sip & Sort” live events this summer.

We truly appreciate all of your support over the years.
Candles were great… but shark teeth? This feels like home.

The real side of building something…

This season has been a lot.
New opportunities…
New partnerships…
More production than we’ve seen in a while…
Even conversations about outgrowing our current space…
And at the same time — still navigating the realities of running a small business in a world that doesn’t always make it easy.

That’s entrepreneurship.
It’s exciting.
It’s exhausting.
It’s humbling.
And if you’re doing it right… it’s worth it.

This morning, for the first time in weeks, Julianna and I actually slept in a bit after a late night at the shop getting orders ready from our Maine trade show.
Loaded up the car, made a (very satisfying) trip to the post office, and now it’s right back to it — cleaning out the storage unit and reorganizing so we’re ready for what’s next.
No complaints… just building.

If you’ve ever wondered what it really looks like behind the scenes — it’s this. Full carts, long nights, small wins, big vision.
And we wouldn’t trade it.

Back at the shop after a white-knuckle drive home from NEM 😅
