B’s Que rolled into West Creek, New Jersey this weekend for Campground BBQ 🥃’s Red, White & Q BBQ Competition at the Sea Pirate Campground, and what an incredible weekend it turned out to be!
First off, a huge shoutout to Jeremy and his team for putting on another top-notch event. The Sea Pirate Campground is a fantastic venue, and the hospitality and organization were second to none.
We came in focused, determined, and ready to put together the best cooks we possibly could knowing what was on the line. We’ve been grinding week after week, putting in the work, refining every detail, and leaving nothing to chance. This weekend was no different.
And when the smoke cleared...

To be honest, pulling off a Double Grand Championship is one of those accomplishments you try to do in a double but never expecting it to happen. Facing a field packed with some truly talented pitmasters makes it even more special. We’re beyond proud of what our team accomplished this weekend. Moments like these remind me why we love this sport and why we keep pushing to be better every cook.

Still riding the high from this weekend… B’s Que rolled into THE JACK Invitational — one of the most iconic, prestigious, bucket‑list events in all of BBQ — and we walked out as Reserve Grand Champion.
What an absolutely surreal experience. The energy, the history, the level of talent… it’s everything you dream about when you start cooking competition BBQ. To stand on that stage, hear our name called, and feel that moment hit — it’s one of the best experiences of our BBQ life.
So proud of our team. The work, the focus, the heart… it all showed up in Lynchburg. Moments like this remind us why we do it.
And what made it even better? Seeing so many of our BBQ friends and making new ones along the way. The community at all these competitions is something special — the kind of people who lift you up, push you, and celebrate right alongside you.

Tara started us off and did her thing with 10th place dessert with a 180!!!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩

The emotions running through me right now are impossible to put into words. We’re still trying to wrap our heads around this… B’s Que is the American Royal Invitational Grand Champion. Even typing those words doesn’t feel real.
When you chase a dream this big, you picture what it might feel like — but nothing prepares you for actually living it. Hearing our name called, seeing our team’s faces, feeling that wave of pride hit… unreal. Completely surreal.
This was our first trip to the American Royal, and what an absolute blast. Meeting old friends, making new ones, and feeling the true strength of the .
Thank you to everyone who believed in us. This moment is something we’ll carry forever.

Home from Saxonburg PA from its annual Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company BBQ SmokeOut competition. What a great small-town! We felt had a great cook. One category better than the others but good enough for Reserve Grand Champ.

Finally, home and settled after an awesome weekend at Smoke on the Rail on the Rail BBQ Festival. Andy puts on one of the best events out there — truly top‑tier. This one comes with a lot of emotions. While my family was up in Canada celebrating a beautiful wedding weekend (and yes, I missed them more than I can put into words), we had to keep the B’s Que train rolling back here in the States. So, we headed up to New Freedom, PA to compete with a seriously talented field.
With those incredible trophies — plus a 2‑day overall BBQ World Cup BBQ World Cup & Expo BBQ World Cup qualifier — we knew consistency mattered. And with a few teammates out, it turned into the Brian‑and‑Tara show…lol (Tara, with a double let’s not do that again!) and we absolutely nailed it.
Special thanks to Kyle Haselbarth’s fiancé for running our boxes on Day 1.
