Rare pair of Paul de Lamerie (1688-1751) George II English silver sauce boats, each of helmet form, the rim centered by a scallop shell and volute motif engraved with a heraldic crest, applied with double C scrolled handles and scroll junctions, raised on four hairy paw feet on petals. The maker’s marks can be found on the underside - dated 1741. Provenance: Acquired from a private collection in Dublin, Ireland.
