Some of these old Pyrex patterns can sell for THOUSANDS...

For decades, Pyrex was simply part of everyday life.

It went into the oven, onto the dinner table, into the refrigerator, and then back into the cupboard. Nobody was thinking about rarity or collector value.

And that’s what makes looking at a chart like this so fascinating today.

Some of these patterns are instantly recognizable. Pink Gooseberry, Butterprint, Spring Blossom Green, Early American... the kind of pieces that can bring back memories of our mothers’ or grandmothers’ kitchens.

But others are a completely different story.

Certain rare Pyrex patterns and pieces have become incredibly desirable among collectors, and some examples can sell for thousands of dollars.

Imagine having something sitting in the back of a kitchen cupboard for decades, only to discover years later that collectors are willing to pay that much for it.

It also makes you wonder how many valuable pieces were donated, sold at yard sales for a few dollars, or simply thrown away because nobody knew they were special.

So take a good look at the patterns in this picture.
