We are not about perfection. It’s about fitting all the right pieces together to create a feeling of respite. To us, this room has all the pieces to make it feel like we want to be here everyday. Soft light coming in through the open accordion doors, wood table for gatherings, beautiful furniture that is also comfortable. In the comfort and feeling is where beauty lives.

It’s kinda chic to be authentic and kind.

We don’t just create beautiful spaces, but a large part of our role is to make people feel cared for and listened to. Designing your home is such a personal journey and we take the time to listen and understand you, your family and all the things that are important for you.

Design Tip: when designing for a compact area, go for a material or color that makes an impact. It’s an area where color, texture or pattern can be used to completely change the feeling and mood of a space. In this case, our client opted for the option to keep the cabinets light and go with a wallpaper that has color, depth and feeling of home. A pattern that brings nostalgia of their roots.

We are loading up our vision boards with all sorts of hidden thingys.. hidden tv, hidden storage, hidden doors, hidden pantries. We love a clean design with high function that feels intentional and thoughtful.

It’s a two post kind of day - must be the sun ☺️. Here is another angle of this sunken living room that gives us all the good feels. From warm wood tones at the window seat to a cozy fireplace, sliding glass door that leads us outdoors, and sculptural lighting from luceplan, this room is designed with intention for entertaining and gatherings.

I love how every room along the back of this home is now filled with natural light. One of our client’s biggest frustrations was feeling disconnected to the outdoors. The only access was through one small sliding door.

We proposed a large glass opening that draws your eye straight to the landscape the moment you walk in. And the accordion doors make all the difference—on a beautiful day you can really get to enjoy being right on the deck and in the home, blurring the line between inside and out. It completely transformed the way this home feels and how it’s lived in.

It’s hard to believe this was once an unused porch and now a sunken living space.

The lowered floor enhances the ceiling height, floods the room with natural light, and creates a seamless visual connection to the outdoors. The step transitions naturally becomes a place to gather while also adding another layer of design. I’m always so appreciative of our client’s trust and patience. It is truly because of them that we get to design and really push ourselves.

We did this project In collaboration with Architect Patternbook Architecture and Contractor Whyte Contracting. So grateful for an amazing team of professional’s that values integrity and collaboration.

We call this project “The Gathering House”. We haven’t shown you all the details and shots yet. But be ready, they are going to be live soon on our website. We transformed this home by adding a sunken living room, building a dedicated pantry and w**e bar and enlarging the kitchen to be able to host lots of family and friends. Have questions or interested in how we can help you. Comment ⬇️ or DM us. We love to hear from you.

We curated a perfect setting for our client to enjoy on a warm beautiful day like today. From designing the deck to sourcing all the furniture and furnishings, I am imagining myself there jamming to good music with a glass of mojito and limes.
