We’ve been busy with projects-repotting hundreds of plants we bought in March to sell, trying to finish a plant house - (still have to put in plumbing and electricity) & finishing inside of new barn - place to work on projects & storage😀.

Come see the big selection of plants we have on the front porch at Alyssa's. Everything from blueberries to citrus trees, fiddleleaf figs, carnivorous plants, and succulents. We also have several hard to find ferns in 4" pots. These include the lemon button fern, one of the most pleasant small ferns an indoor gardener can grow. It grows to about a foot high and not much more across. It boasts tiny arching stems. Leaves are round with small serrated edges. When handled, there's a lemon scent which gives the fern its name. Another unusual fern is the mother fern which can be grown indoors or out. A mature plant can grow 3 feet high and 3 feet wide outdoors. The mother fern develops tiny plantlets on the top of her leaves. These tiny buds eventually fall off the leaves, and can then be covered with soil in order to produce new hen and chick plants.

Vintage Hungarian Bathtub Garden - $209
This gloriously lush one-of-a kind garden features a variety of succulents in a vintage Hungarian bathtub.
The plants used are of various forms and shapes. There are creeping plants, columnar ones (such as the Euphorbia), branching varieties (elephant's trunk), echeveria, and many more.
Since succulents are slow growing, they will thrive in their present condition for years. The plants need light but will be happy inside or on a covered open porch. If placed on a porch they need some cover in freezing weather. Small drainage holes help in the event of over-watering. Succulents like a dry soil and should be watered sparingly.
