Receiving final project photography is always one of the most rewarding moments of the design process. It represents the culmination of months of planning, design development, coordination with the client and contractors, and collaboration with industry partners to bring a shared vision to life. It’s an incredibly fulfilling milestone.

La Masa is now officially open at the Milwaukee Public Market, offering a menu of thoughtfully crafted, Argentinian-inspired empanadas alongside a curated selection of craft cocktails. It was a joy to work alongside the owners to create this space for their growing business. They offer a wonderful product and have built a strong brand identity that we were able to reinforce through unique ceiling details, tile selections and the gorgeous walnut countertops. It exudes warmth and excitement, which pairs so well with the atmosphere at the market!

Welcome to Your Office!

“An elevated dive bar. Not a sh****le, not pretentious” - the motto we used when designing this awesome new bar that just opened in downtown Milwaukee!

Repurposing the existing bar and leveraging the Cream City brick were the first two design choices made to bring ample charm to the space. The design is layered with moody, evocative colors and features a visually textured wallcovering sourced from our collaborators at Chasing Paper. The comfortable banquettes and vintage-inspired barstools were coordinated and installed by CJ & Associates, Inc. The flooring throughout is a rich, dark wood grain that contrasts the Cream City brick from Tarkett, and the bathrooms feature a classic penny tile from Ceramic Tileworks for even more vintage charm.

Stop in, savor a robust old-fashioned, enjoy a classic game of bar dice or take your chance on some pull tabs. It’s the perfect place to clock out early for and head to your other office.

As we head into the holiday week, we’re filled with gratitude for the clients and industry partners who make projects like this possible. It’s an honor to showcase VIVA Wellness, whose mission to help individuals discover the best versions of themselves is truly inspiring. Offering a diverse range of services focused on both physical and mental well-being, they are dedicated to supporting their clients’ wellness journeys. We were thrilled to collaborate with them in creating a space that feels welcoming, relaxing, and calming, while also reflecting their strong brand presence. The unique wall coverings, wood slats, moss walls, and customizable lighting all come together to create an environment that their staff and clients love.

Summer is almost over and we surely enjoyed it (hope you did too!) As we move into fall, we have a lot of projects we will be sharing over the coming months. This project is for a confidential corporate client - a 30,000 square foot office renovation and is currently under construction. Leveraging a neutral architectural palette with classic finishes and bringing a vibrant color pop into the furniture for playful vignettes throughout the office space will keep this environment feeling fresh and engaging! Project completion estimated in February.

Closet storage isn’t needed in a bathroom 🫣

Obviously this is completely user dependent and the beauty of designing a bathroom is that you can tailor it to your needs. This bathroom was aiming for a minimal and modern design and no closet means that extra “stuff” won’t collect here!

We have been collaborating with Viva Wellness over the last few months and construction is under way on this buildout which will essentially double their space! We worked through a variety of iterations to hone in on their new branded environment, which emanates VIVA! A few key design elements that will be repeated throughout the project are the use of moss art, decorative wallcovering, acoustic wood slat panels and decorative lighting! A holistic design to align with their holistic approach to wellness! 🤍
