What a fantastic night! Last week, our interior design team celebrated two EA projects recognized at the ASID WI Design Excellence awards, honoring interiors that embody best‑practice design and showcase the meaningful influence thoughtful design can have.

🏆️ Caroline Heights, a multi-building historic adaptive reuse/new construction multi-family housing community, won ASID Gold.

🏆️ The Ma**ca P. Coggs Health and Human Services Center, a new “no wrong door” DHHS facility for Milwaukee County, won ASID Silver.

It’s always an honor and a pleasure to see our projects recognized. Congratulations to Sarah, Evelyn, and our former colleague, Heather Balistrieri! Thank you for all your hard work!

Engberg Anderson is excited to highlight an upcoming project that captures what thoughtful, community‑minded design can do. Element Collective, a $65M workforce housing community located on the University Research Park campus, brings much needed residences, future retail / business spaces to the area. With 197 new residences, the project supports one of the region’s largest employment centers and adds sustainable, comfortable, long‑term housing options in the city. We'll continue to spotlight this essential and vital project as it progresses through the construction phase, be sure to follow along! A big thank‑you to our partners — Mandel, University Research Park, City of Madison, WHEDA, Krupp General Contractors.

A major congratulations to Joliet Public Library's Black Road Branch on your grand reopening. We were honored to be there with you to celebrate the occasion.

The newly renovated space features an updated children's area with dedicated space away from the adult library section for patrons who prefer a more quiet setting, better outdoor sightline access to the nature preserve surrounding the library, more study rooms, and a new teen space.

Our firm has a long standing relationship with the Joliet Public Library; and we're thrilled to once again have the opportunity to help your team enhance their facilities to reflect the current needs of the Joliet community and prepare for many more years of service for generations of library patrons to come.

We were pleased to celebrate both the Caroline Heights and the Marcia P. Coggs DHHS Center at the Milwaukee Business Journal Real Estate Awards ceremony today.

Caroline Heights, the renovated former School Sisters of Note Dame site in Elm Grove, is now a bustling community made up of four multi-family housing facilities combining beautiful renovated and reused historic spaces and three new facilities. It was selected as a finalist, and we are incredibly proud of the impact it has made on the village of Elm Grove

The Marcia P. Coggs Department of Health and Human Services Center is a new facility in Milwaukee that has made history as the first DHHS building for the county located in the city of Milwaukee itself. With a "no wrong door" approach to service, sleek modern design, and a focus on biophilia and community partnerships and art, we are incredibly proud to announce that the Coggs building won an award for Community Impact - New Construction.

We are pleased to share this recognition with our project partners and collaborators that worked to bring both outstanding projects to life. Thank you to our team, our consultants on these project, our clients, and the Milwaukee Business Journal for this great honor.

Check out our project on the cover of the Wisconsin State Journal!

We've loved working on the expansion of the Warner Park Community Recreation Center in Madison, and you can now go check it out yourself!

The new expansion features a double court gymnasium with compatibility for basketball, volleyball and pickle ball games, as well as two giant screens with multimedia hook up for movie nights, special events, and graduations. Renovated spaces include a multi-purpose room that hosts frequent yoga classes and a new fitness center. Renovations to the old gym are just wrapping up to end out the project.

The renovation has also added new green energy sources to the facility including a geothermal system and solar panel array.

If you live in Madison, we highly recommend visiting Warner Park and checking out the Community Recreation Center yourself. We can't wait to hear the community's feedback on the project and see all the ways they get to enjoy their new space!

Happy Earth Day to this beautiful planet we call home. As architects and designers, we play a big role in the health of our planet. We create spaces that occupy land, use materials, and shape communities; we take our responsibility as stewards of the Earth seriously. Swipe through the photos to see some of the practices we carry into every project, incorporating practical and effective principles throughout the design, construction, and operation phases.

The Waukesha Public Library is a beacon in the community in more ways than one. Programmable LED lighting paired with architectural resin panels create a memorable entry experience for patrons visiting the library. They’re used to support local causes, celebrate national holidays, and promote special events at the library too. We’re grateful for the longstanding relationship we have with the library and the opportunities they’ve given us to partner with them over the last 20+ years.
