As much as I love programming and designing innovative websites for my clients, I also have the same passion for repurposing old books and preserving antique home decor. Sharing my crafts with the world brings me pure joy, which is why I decided to open JLH Upcycling. Growing up in the 90's, I was a huge fan of Ghost Writer and the Boxcar Children books. As a young girl, I would beg my parents to

take me to the local hardware store to pick up the newest releases. My love for unconventional reads has stayed with me to this day, which is why it's my mission as a handmade seller to save as many damaged books as I can. I partner with local antique book stores to save books that would traditionally be thrown in the garbage. Instead of throwing them away, why not recycle the materials to display their beauty in a new way? Here you’ll find handmade wreaths crafted from rescued paper - repurposed book pages, vintage cookbooks, sheet music, and other forgotten pages thrifted throughout the Midwest. Each wreath is carefully folded by hand to give old stories a beautiful new life.

Curious where the pages came from? Take a peek at the back! Many wreaths include the book cover or special pages as a clue to the recycled materials.

Throughout the year you’ll also find other handmade trinkets here, inspired by the seasons, cozy cottage traditions, and a few Milwaukee favorites 🏠🐄
