Eclecticoldbag

Eclecticoldbag This is my page to view all my watercolor artworks. I am self taught but have always loved art. Beth Gable is a Twin Cites local Minnesota artist.

She is a full-time nurse and mother of 2 boys. At the start of the pandemic, Beth developed a passion for watercolor. Spending most of her extracurricular classes in photography and a lifetime of drawing, the pandemic pushed her into a new medium. She fell in love with watercolor by watching painting tutorials online and building her skills through self-taught learning. Beth is drawn to watercolor

s because it allows her the challenge of letting go of controlling and dealing with the unexpected. Her paintings primarily depict the beauty of nature but contrast with industrial and moody backgrounds. This medium provides an unexpected chaos that allows her to create flowers from splashes of pigment into water. Beth seeks the extraordinary in reimagining ordinary florals. Colors of choice are often from a vintage and eclectic palette.

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to share my passion with you in person.

5 years of GROWTH! It is hard to believe that 5 years ago, I set up my very first art booth right here at Hopkins Mainstreet Day. Back in 2021, I was just starting to share my watercolors with the world. Looking at my work today, I’m filled with so much gratitude reflecting on how much my art—and my journey as a self-taught artist—has grown since then.

To those of you who show up every single year to support me: Thank you. Whether you’ve bought a painting, picked up a bookmark, or just stopped by to say hello, you are the reason I keep painting. There is nothing like the energy of my hometown crowd!

Come celebrate the start of the 2026 fair season with me this weekend!

🗓️ When: Saturday, May 16
⏰ Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Happy May Day!

As we welcome the first of May and all the beauty it brings, it’s the perfect time to celebrate the heart of our community: our local makers and small businesses.

Shopping local is about so much more than just a transaction; it’s about keeping our neighborhoods vibrant and unique. When you choose a local shop or a neighborhood artist, you’re making a direct impact:

Fueling Dreams: Every purchase helps a neighbor grow their passion and support their family.

Unique Finds: You get one-of-a-kind items that you won’t find in a big-box store.

Community Roots: More of your money stays right here in town, helping our local parks, schools, and streets thrive.

This May Day, let’s spread a little extra love. Whether you’re picking up a hand-painted artwork, a fresh baked goods, or a cup of coffee from the shop down the street, your support makes a world of difference. 🌸

There’s nothing quite like the first wash of a spring palette to shake off the winter blues. I’ve been spending my free time playing with these new spring watercolors.

I’m ready for open windows, the smell of rain on warm pavement, and seeing these colors come to life in nature . Who else is ready to trade their heavy coats for some sunshine and flowers?
