Ever since I launched my own small business, I’ve always wanted to “pay it forward,” so to speak and last Friday, I was finally able to.

On August 25, 2025, a school shooting occurred here in Minneapolis, at Annunciation Catholic School. Two kids (Harper Moyski and Fletcher Merkel) died and 28 others were wounded. While I’m not Catholic nor do I have any connection to the school, when I found out Laura Sima | Edina & Minneapolis Area Realtor was leading an effort to design therapy rooms at the school, I jumped at the chance to help. And honestly, I can’t describe how incredible it felt to be part of it all.

The thing is, building a small business shouldn’t just be about revenue goals or EBITDA. It should also be about making a positive impact on your community; especially when they need healing. 🫶🏻
