Well, it's time to reinvent myself once again, so I have closed A Pretty Posy .co! I sold my last bouquets last Sunday.

I am so grateful for your continued support and patronage throughout these years. What a learning experience. My life has been enriched by all the love and beauty and I hope I have brought joy and delight to both the givers and the recipients of my humble posies.

We had a fantastic day of beautiful weather and delightful conversations on Saturday, July 22 for the MWGCM Garden Tour! Over 150 garden enthusiasts stopped by to say hi and pick up cutting garden inspiration and arranging tips. (No more boring vases!) Laurie Frevert and Anne Sterner helped me out with their extensive flower knowledge! And Laurie supplied me with fabulous photos. All-in-all a great experience. Thank you all for your continued support - and love of flowers!

I think most of you know, but I thought I better send out an official invite…….

Heads up that my backyard cutting gardens will be on the Men’s and Women’s Garden Club of Minneapolis (MWGCM) “Garden and Urban Farm Tour” this Saturday, July 22, 9:00-5:00.

MWGCM said my friends and neighbors are welcome - so please feel free to stop by - especially if you are interested in growing cutting flowers! (And seeing our newly planted front yard!)

Just stopping by mine is free for you but if you want to see other stops you’ll need to buy a ticket for $20. The tour will include 5 beautiful private gardens, 2 urban farms, and 1 community garden.

One hurriedly assembled bouquet for ourselves! Wow. October 10 and still blooming. The end for the zinnia and verbena and cosmos and turtle heads and to***co flowers is at hand. Still waiting for mums.

One last 2022 bouquet I couldn't resist - Happy 87 years young Birthday to Marian from Dorothy, two classy ladies I admire beyond words. I was honored to be asked.

Super sweet late-blooming japanese anemonies are outstanding! And I am amazed that the lisianthus and phlox just keep on giving. But I can see the flowers waning and I'm watching the nighttime temps. It's been a fabulous year for growing - even if it took a lot of watering!

We are having our house dashed (re-stuccoed) today and I got the greatest compliment from one of the very talented workers - he asked if this is where Bachman's new employees come to learn about flowers! Love this!

An early September sweet surprise bouquet for a 3 month dating anniversary!
Snaps are on their second bloom and I finally cut one of my old fashioned white to***co flowers. I had thought they were too large for my arrangements but now I love them!

Although I am not actively selling this year, about once a week I receive a request that happens to fit my schedule and I can't resist. This one is for a new 2nd grade teacher Katy. I appreciate teachers - and thoughtful orders from loving husbands.

Similar flowers as my last one post - but in a bubbly clear vase with vintage marbles. I see a new grass, a yellow dahlia, verbena, four o'clocks...

I couldn't resist this request! A birthday and "move to Minnesota house warming" gift to herself! For Kerry! Welcome.

Lisianthus is still blooming!! Black-eyed Susans. The very last of the Prairie Coneflowers and Allium purple balls. Butterfly flowers are perfect. Mums and Turtleheads are starting. To***co Flowers, Cleome, Mint, Scented Geraniums and Zinnias still going. Meadow Rue. And I tried Mexican Sunflowers by accident. Wow! Huge! and the Monarchs love love love them.
