A few months ago I tackled a simple but impactful project that totally modernized the look of my client's stair railings. Behold the ! 🖌️
My clients were tired of the outdated white and light wood railings, so they chose the color Cracked Pepper from Behr to update the look without needing to replace them. I did two coats of the Cabinet and Trim paint in a Satin finish, after doing a coat of primer that I had dyed gray to help the transition to a dark color.
Swipe through for before and afters from various angles, as well as some work in progress pics with the gray-tinted primer.

Pink and yellow, rainbows and flowers. That's what my four-and-a-half year old niece requested for her big girl room, and so that's what Auntie Monica delivered! 🌈🌷I love how bright and fun this room looks, and it perfectly represents my niece's bubbly personality!
Swipe through for more angles of the room, filled with items repurposed from when I did her nursery five years ago, as well as some fun new decor (mostly from a joint trip to with my favorite tiny client!).

WE BOUGHT A HOUSE! 🏠🎉
I'm ecstatic to share that we bought a beautiful home just down the street from our current townhome! It's a more than 120-year-old home that was used as a Bed and Breakfast for decades.
Once the previous owners took it over, they made updates and restored tons of the home's original charm. I'm feeling so inspired by this new challenge, and I hope you enjoy following along!
Thank you, for making this dream a reality!

The final update to our entryway is complete! Swipe through to see this space evolve over the past couple of years. ➡️
Our entryway is essentially a long hallway that starts at ground level and ends in a half sunken basement. With the front door window as the one source of natural light, it can get really dark in there. And it was only made darker by the taupe and turquoise walls and the faux slate floor tile that was here when we moved in.
First I painted the dark floor tile white, and then I gave the walls a fresh coat of paint. Finally, I laid new tile down right on top of the old painted tile, and now the entry looks so fresh and bright!

I keep falling in love with this bathroom the more I work on it, and the fresh paint on the vanity and medicine cabinet has me feeling all the feels! 😍 Swipe for different angles, as well as the before pictures! ➡️
When I set out to renovate this bathroom, I didn't want to replace the granite countertop. It was in good shape, and I thought I could incorporate it into the overall design. So I focused on finding a paint color for the vanity that would bridge the warmth of the countertop and the coolness of the new tile. I settled on Greige from , and I'm loving how it turned out!
I went back and forth on whether to paint the medicine cabinet on the left wall to match the vanity. But ultimately I decided to paint it the same color as the wall, Painter's White also from , so that it would recede into the background. The effect is precisely what I was hoping for!

After plenty of drama AND lessons learned, I've finally finished with the tile in our bathroom! 🎉 Swipe through for Before and After pics! ➡️
After over-grouting one of the shower walls and the shower floor, I decided to tear out those problem areas and re -tile them. I had tried EVERYTHING to get rid of the extra grout, and I spent about two weeks not making any forward progress, trying to fix my mistake. In the end, I'm so glad I accepted there was no fixing my mistake, that I had to go backwards in order to move forward.
I've learned SO MUCH, and I was even able to notice a significant difference in how quickly and efficiently I was tiling and grouting by the end, versus when I first started this project and was still figuring things out. I started this bathroom knowing it would be a challenge, and it has been just that in all the best ways.
