We were both working full-time jobs in corporate America, but we realized we missed the excitement of creating spectacular events! After requests from friends and family members to decorate for their weddings and parties, we decided to start a small business. Realizing there weren’t any companies in the Twin Cities who specialized exclusively in ceiling decor, we started by purchasing the standard
products, but also set our sights on new and different products to keep pace with the changing trends. Four years later, the business was thriving and Avant Decor became full-time employment for both of us! Avant Decor now carries one of the largest selections of fabrics in the Minneapolis/St. Our inventory includes the traditional white and ivory chiffon typically used for weddings, but we also offer almost every color in the rainbow in either satin or chiffon fabric. If you don’t see the exact color you would like, we can custom-order fabric for you to match your event. One of our most popular new additions to our inventory is a lovely lace fabric that has been incorporated in vintage as well as rustic style events. We offer a variety of products such as paper lanterns and poms, café lighting, chandeliers and crystal curtain. We continue to research new products in the market and our inventory is constantly growing. Our designers work with each bride to ensure exceptional service. We offer a variety of options to fit our clients decor budgets and would love to help you create a celebration to remember! We are proud to say that for the past 3 years, we have been awarded Wedding Wire’s “Bride’s Choice” award, as well as the Knot’s “Best of Weddings,” which honor the top professionals in the wedding industry. Elizabeth is an active member of ISES (International Special Events Society) and has served on their board for over 3 years. Continuing our education in the event industry is a priority and we enjoy being a part of ISES, NACE, and the Independent Wedding Association, as well as Twin Cities Wedding Professionals.
