Drifting Without Witness by Mary Meuwissen is one of three recently completed for the 2026 Art-A-Whirl®. Inspired by the Stone Arch Bridge, adding small boats that drift in the waters below creates a sense of mystery.

Mary's work is currently on view at The University of MN Arboretum until July 20th, and this summer she is preparing for a solo show at St. Mary’s University in Winona opening in October. You can also find Mary in studio #280 at the Northrup King Building during open studio events.

The work of artist Marc Clements is a ritual of transforming the mundane into the mythical. In his current series, the deconstruction / reconstruction and resin-glazing of playing cards captures their dual nature as both simple objects of play and ancient "calendars" of human experience. By viewing human experience through the archetypes of the deck, the artist invites the viewer to reflect on their own actions and consider which card they are choosing to play in the game of life.
