For those wondering, the name is a mix of the original hybridizer’s family surname ‘Barts’ and his wife creatively adding ‘ella’ to soften the name.

All local flower hauls deserve photo shoots • but there isn’t always time • or an extra set of hands to take the photos while you hold 😂 Well, I made this one happen because this haul was just too good not to share. Featuring Chantilly snapdragon, lupines, ranunculus, Bartzella peonies, mock orange and bells of Ireland • all locally grown by the oh so amazing flower whisperers .flora and 🙌🏼

✨ Introducing FLOWER THERAPY SESSIONS with Studio Emme ✨ a series of seasonal flower workshops for the soul. Each workshop will incorporate foundational floral techniques, but will focus on using flower play for restoration and connection. Let’s get together, unwind and create something beautiful.

Real talk — I think it took me so long to offer floral workshops because it took a while for it to feel intentional. Owning a flower shop is not just playing with flowers • it’s actually quite stressful • it has taken a lot out of me • and it took me a long time to set aside the hustle aspect of the business and choose to thrive in it • physically, mentally and emotionally. I’m there now and am excited to share it with you 🫶🏼

💜 FLOWER CRUSH FRIDAY! • Lavender Sweet Peas 💜 We think it’s about time to bring back Flower Crush Fridays because the blooms are SO good lately and we can’t wait to share them. This week we’ve been crushing on lavender Sweet Peas 😍 Their stems are usually so short they typically land a supporting role in arrangements and bouquets • but our spring designs just wouldn’t be the same without that soft lavender pop.
