My screen porch dreams are currently coming true 🖤
We’re pretty spoiled and have incredible views in every direction, so outdoor space that was protected from those darn mosquitos was a must (plus, is there anything better than sitting in the porch when it rains?!). I knew I wanted it to have a conservatory-esque feel (but with a twist!)...so we went with these windows from & modified the grids to achieve the look I was after.
The “windows” open all the way up, so the entire porch can be just screens, or you can close them (like they are here), so we can enjoy the porch for more of the year. All we have left to do is paint the interior walls, clean, and bring & furniture & then you’ll know where to find me with a glass of wine in hand!

Daydreaming about the day all of the projects around here are done 😆 We are going to *attempt* to skim coat the fireplace surround with concrete or plaster to give it a warm & moody texture (that’s why the drywall is unfinished around it)...sooooo, now accepting advice from anyone who’s done this before!

New lights who dis?
Before we moved in, we threw in a bunch of temp lights we had on hand just to get CO because so many of our fixtures were delayed (one of the many perks to building & moving during a pandemic...EVERYTHING back ordered 😆). They’re slowly but surely arriving and oh my goodness are they making things feel so pulled together 🖤

If you followed along in stories today, we installed all of the shelving in our master closet and boy oh boy does it feel good! After basically living out of a suitcase for the last few months, it’s a breath of fresh air to have everything in its place.

We aren’t 100% done in here - all of the openings in the doors have mirrors going in them which we need to install - but we are waiting to do so until we seal the doors. But for now, I’m one happy camper 🤍

The last few weeks have been a roller coaster to say the least...but in the midst of so much crazy, it’s the simplest things that bring me so much joy. Like this window in the laundry room that perfectly frames those silos & our watercolor sunsets every night 💕 , you’re a bit of a hot mess right now, but boy oh boy are you starting to shine.

She’s coming together!! 🎉 And as excited as I am about the tile, I’m equally excited about what’s behind the tile.
That orange stuff you see everywhere is and it’s keeping our shower niiiiice and watertight! We went with the Kerdi panels on the walls and just wait until I show your our disappearing drain 🤯 We’re in the home stretch!!

Everyone keeps asking me which room I’m the most excited about, and honestly, I don’t think there’s one room. Instead it’s all these little elements like this that just make me giddy 💕

Question: do you guys like seeing progress posts or would you prefer they stay in stories?!
Either way, we got to test drive one of our favorite features of this weekend! MN spoiled us with 60 degree weather so you better believe those doors were WIDE open.😍 All that’s missing is the deck on the other side and a margarita in my hand. 😂
Believe it or not, this wall was HIGHLY debated during design. I know people will think I’m crazy for putting the fireplace on that wall “it blocks the view, what are you doing” blah blah blah....BUT, I love it. And there is still PLENTY of view, haha. 😆 For whatever reason, I don’t like when rooms have two focal points, which would have happened if I put the fireplace on the other wall. Plus, this layout made for a much better furniture space plan (the other way would have been kind of wonky). AAAAND, most importantly, this layout allowed us to do a DOUBLE SIDED FIREPLACE between the living room & deck (which, if you can’t tell, I’m VERY excited about) 💃🏻 Now tell me, what is your favorite feature in your own home?!
