This newly completed Victorian-style stained glass window was created for a client building a new home in St. Paul. Measuring 21.75” x 21.75”, the piece features a geometric floral design inspired by late 19th-century decorative windows, with layered symmetry and rich color creating a distinctly historic character.
One of the most interesting parts of this project was the context it was designed for. Although the home itself is new construction, the client has thoughtfully incorporated built-in architectural details and traditional materials throughout the design in order to create the feeling of an older historic residence. The stained glass window became part of that larger vision as an architectural feature intended to give the home a greater sense of warmth and craftsmanship. The finished window will be installed as an interior feature between the mud-room and stairwell, where it will catch and filter light between spaces throughout the day.
