New ADU blog.

With the foundation poured and cured the bricks have been layed and the walls are formed. Insulation has been added along with waterproofing. But something amiss, better check the architect's blueprints and specs.

Let it Pour!
New blog of the ADU progress.

Now that the foundation forms have passed inspection it is time to fill them. This short video is the pouring of the cement set to music. Once it has cured, the block can be laid to start building the foundation walls.

Preparing for pouring the foundation.

This video consists of the setting up of forms that will be filled with cement. Once it has dried and cured the cement will provide a strong foundation for the ADU. The short video is also set to music.

Joe has recently added some of his handmade signed plates to the website. There are nine color variations of this approximately 5" square glass dish. Now that the garage has been razed there was room to bring in the heavy equipment. We used the house to supply water to the ADU. When J Ring Glass Studio closed its physical store and studio in March of 2022, Susan and Joe were left with the dilemma of finding another space to create their art. They decided to build their own work space. It is an ADU, Accessory Dwelling Unit that is replacing their existing garage.
