Meet the Board Member: President-Elect, Lisa Africano!

Lisa is the Founder & Lead Designer of LA Design North, where she brings decades of experience in the creative industry to every project she touches. Her guiding philosophy is simple: taking you where you want to go but can’t get there by yourself.

Her design career began with the restoration of a 100-year-old farmhouse — a project that caught the eye of Country Home magazine and launched a flourishing professional path. Since then, Lisa has built a distinguished portfolio spanning custom builds, large-scale renovations, and detail-driven transformations throughout the residential market — bringing the same refined eye to projects ranging from high-end lakeshore homes in northern Wisconsin to a wide range of home styles and settings.

Lisa believes beautiful spaces are born from intentional details — and that travel is one of the richest sources of inspiration. At the heart of her practice is a deep commitment to helping clients realize the vision they can see but don't yet know how to achieve.

When she’s not designing, Lisa is known for her sharp sense of humor and the soundtrack perpetually playing in her head. Just ask — she’ll sing it for you.
