We most recently came back from Russia where we salvaged lighting from the depths of the Moscow subway systems to the abandoned Soviet era factories of the DDR (East Germany) and Poland. FIXT is proud to be the only company in North America with an unparalleled volume of professionally restored communist era and bauhaus factory fixtures. Almost 10 years ago my wife and I walked away from a successful music career, sold everything we owned, and went to Russia and Eastern Europe to salvage Soviet designed light fixtures. We sent home over 5000 lights in 30 days. We had no office, workshop, and most importantly, we had NO CLIENT LIST. So we scoured the internet in search of design we loved and our first cold call (ever) was to .

💡Fun fact about the Field Pendants:

These lightweight luminaries were designed for transportable light in Soviet encampments. The petite galvanized steel domes sit beneath a bakelite fitter and brass accent hook. The perfect size for cluster grouping or highlighting small, intimate spaces🛋️

When it’s way past whatever hour you planned on going home, but you’re determined to get the project finished and out the door👋🏼💪🏼

Back in the day, when it was just Nate and I (Taylor) in the workshop, we would sometimes stay past 1am to make sure we were meeting our deadline😯

Whatever it takes, right?🥵

One thing that makes our business so interesting though, is the range of projects and people we work with around the globe.

Whether it be a large chandelier restoration project for City Hall, sourcing Soviet mining lights for a movie set, or building custom light fixtures for a new apartment complex, we love what we do and will always stay as late as we need to get things done right👌🏼

Happy Mother’s Day Momma Wolf
Thank you for bringing our Little Lyla into this world and making me a Dad. These last 4 years have been such a rewarding rollercoaster. A classic 🖤

The North Calhoun pendant features a freshly restored black accent rim surrounding the off-white porcelain enamel shade. Produced in the 60s and 70s, this near 14 inch salvaged Soviet pendant is topped by a solid bakelite fitter.
