Heads up, secondhand supplies shoppers! The Stashery will be closed for a brief hiatus, April 21 - May 8, 2026! ✳️

The space will be transformed to make room for the Textile Garage Sale (sale dates: May 1 - 3), which will fill the entirety of Textile Center with sewing machines, fabric, yarn, looms, and more. (Like The Stashery, but bigger!)

The Stashery will re-open May 9. Check out www.thestashery.org for donation times, volunteer opportunities, and other helpful info.

Until then, we're still your favorite one-stop secondhand supplies shop. See you soon! 💚

Get to know the familiar, friendly faces of The Stashery! Karen F shows off donations to The Stashery and shared with us what she loves about volunteering.

“I love the flexibility of volunteering with The Stashery. I live in the neighborhood, and it’s easy to fit into my schedule of other volunteering. I grew up not throwing things away, with the idea that if it can be used, use it – if you can’t, give it to somebody else.”

“Donating supplies can be hard – sometimes it’s from a parent who’s passed, or sending off a project they never got to finish. It’s nice to see supplies go to use by someone who will use it and love it.”

⚠️ Warning: Volunteering in The Stashery may come with benefits such as meeting fellow textile enthusiasts, keeping supplies out of landfills, building your creative passion (and getting 10 million new project ideas 💡🤩)!

We joined a group of volunteers at a Fabric Measuring Bonanza (working through piles of plaids, panels + farmyard fleeces 😮‍💨) and got to know what brings them to volunteering. Overwhelmingly, it’s a love for Textile Center, a passion for textiles, and the desire to do good! The first look at new stock doesn’t hurt either!! 🤫👀

“It’s that community connection; where you’re in a space with people who are also making, who are also having projects in their mind, and are curious about technique + material.”

The Stashery and Textile Center will be closed this Friday, January 23, out of care for our team and in support of our community. 💙

Nurturing a culture of wellbeing is a key pillar guiding our fiber arts organization. Our world is knitted, woven, stitched, quilted, and beaded together — connection is core to our field. Taking this day for community service and wellbeing helps us live out this value.

Our volunteers help answer questions, measure + price fabric, sort yarn or notions, and share info about Textile Center (no checkout duties required). Just bring your love of fiber art and community!

🐝 Our amazing volunteer Desmond created this beautiful quilted bat using fabric from The Stashery for Textile Center’s Fiber Pollinator Garden Community Project! Just as a garden is made strong by its pollinators, Textile Center is made strong by our community. Using your favorite fiber art technique, we invite everyone to help grow our garden of pollinators and contribute to a beautiful indoor garden installation! This community project will be unveiled at our Fiber Art for All Open House on February 20 + 21, 2026.
