It’s Friday baby! Fragrance can be realllyyy difficult to buy online. I’m subject to this all the time, and find the only way to really tell if I will like a scent is based on the branding. But that’s not always giving things a fair shot. While I certainly hope you all enjoy our branding, here’s more of an honest take on exactly how our Thief In The Garden scent smells. 2 weeks ago, I had a jaw surgery there - I am doing well!

Travel has always shaped the way we think about fragrance, but this felt different. More immersive. More instinctual. There’s a quiet phenomenon - that Istanbul carries a scent of its own. And it’s true.

Something warm and layered lives in the air. Florals softened by spice, grounded in a soft, powdery musk. It drifts through narrow streets, lingers in shop doorways, settles into the stillness of mosques.

It’s a scent that we will carry into our Rolodex of inspiration.

It is no question that we love good smells around here. My first love of fragrance came as a middle school boy who so desperately wanted the Gucci by Gucci fragrance. It was warm, spicy and bold. 15+ years later and I still own a bottle. The obsession continued into making my own scents - now for True Hue.
