A jar of fresh tapenade is a delicious hostess gift, or a gift for your sugar-free, gluten-free, or simply hungry friends! It's such a versatile mix - use it as a spread on crostini, add a spoonful to salad dressings, serve it as a dip for crudités, top a freshly-grilled steak, or toss a dollop with roasted vegetables. Cookies bake for such a short time, it's important to have the proper temperature throughout their stint in the oven. Always preheat the oven as called for in the recipe! When opening the door to change batches, do so efficiently to avoid changes in temperature. Each time the oven door is opened, temperatures can dive up to 100 degrees causing uneven or elongated baking.

Kitchen Window will be closing its doors in January, the end of over a, 35-year run of passion and innovation for food, cooking and entertaining.

We are so very thankful for the amazing community of staff, cooking school volunteers, customers and vendors that have all contributed into making Kitchen Window so much more than just a store. It has been truly inspiring.

In our wildest dreams, we couldn’t have imagined what this store was to become and what it has meant to so many people. We have hosted hundreds of thousands of guests in our cooking schools--developing skills and sharing the joy of food and cooking. We’ve served customers from every continent, including an uncountable number of Minnesotans. Built an amazing team of dedicated employees that love to learn and shared their knowledge and passion for food and cooking. And developed strong partnerships with hundreds of amazing suppliers. It has truly been a privilege.

The decision to wind up the business was personal and internal to the company. We love Uptown and will miss being an active part of the community.

We are hoping to see you all one more time before we go.
Our shelves are stocked for the holidays and our team is ready to help. We’re going to bring down the curtain in the same style we opened the doors.
