Behind the scenes at my favorite shoot location: my home!

Bella is our Scent of the Month and is one of my forever favorites. Bella means beautiful in Italian, which feels pretty perfect for this floral, feminine and elegant scent. I especially love it in my bedroom, but with tropical ylang ylang, bright lemon and a little warmth from ginger, it’s fresh enough for summer and beautiful in just about any spot in your home!

One of my fave things to make is a frittata. It’s quick and easy, such a terrific way to use up leftovers! Add whatever herbs and/or cheese you love—that’s the beauty of frittatas, you truly can’t go wrong. I opted for chives and scallions after finding these beauties at , along with their delicious eggs, and finished it with large dollops of goat cheese.. So delish!

What you need:
You can easily adjust the herbs and cheese to what you have or love.
• 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed, drizzled with olive oil, salted and roasted
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 1 tablespoon butter
• 10 large eggs
• 1 teaspoon salt, plus freshly ground black pepper
• 6 scallions, thinly sliced
• 1/3 cup minced chives
• 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
• 4 tablespoons goat cheese, or more if you love it like I do!

How to make:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Trim asparagus, drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and roast for 8–10 minutes. Leave the oven on, as you’ll finish the frittata at the same temperature. Let the asparagus cool, then chop into 1-inch pieces.

Whisk the eggs, then add scallions, chives, asparagus, cream, salt and pepper. Stir just until combined. Heat the oil and butter in an ovenproof skillet. I love cast iron for this. Add the egg mixture, stirring gently so the ingredients are evenly dispersed.

Cook until the edges begin to set, pushing the cooked edges toward the center of the pan with a wooden spoon. Continue cooking until the center begins to set, about 2–3 minutes more. Dollop goat cheese over the top, then bake until the eggs are completely set, about 8–10 minutes. I like to let it cool a bit before serving.

Love this scent-loving gal who made me a mom more than anything. We clearly love talking scent together… maybe a mother-daughter fragrance someday?

I always love Bella this time of year. It’s such a pretty floral and feels especially lovely for Mother’s Day. If you feel like treating yourself (or the fragrance-loving moms in your life) to this lush, ylang ylang-filled beauty, now’s the time. With any 16oz Bella diffuser purchase, I’m including a Bella room spray as my treat. 🤍

Love having these photos Ry captured on our trip to the Amalfi Coast a few years ago. Hard to pick a favorite, they all make me smile.

Mare is our scent of the month and such a lovely scented escape. Inspired by the Amalfi Coast, it blends bright lemon, ocean air, and warm cedarwood in a way that feels fresh, breezy, and perfect for any space. A little trip to the Italian coast, right at home.

If there’s one diffuser question I hear all the time, it’s this: how often should I flip the reeds?

Flipping is your little “volume knob.” New setup? Flip all of them once to get things going.

After that—flip all, flip one or two, or flip right before guests. It’s totally up to you.

Lots of reflecting this January 1st as I sit with my morning coffee and welcome 2026. Last year marked 25 years since my sis and I started this amazing business and it's a little bittersweet to look back on everything that makes up a quarter century of Alora!

We were young and naive, but also completely confident this "reed diffuser" would charm America, no matter what our dad thought! Makes me tear up thinking about all those memories but I’m also so, so grateful for all of it.

From hand assembling the first few thousand diffusers on our family farm to interviewing publicists in NYC and to now 25 years later having longtime customers tell you they truly can't live without their Alora diffusers. What a journey it's been.

Enjoy this little walk down memory lane.

P.S. Back then we didn’t snap photos on our phones (texting was exotic!), and we definitely weren’t filming video “for content” so pardon some of the grainy old prints pulled from the Alora archives!

1. Love this photo, Ry took it the day after we incorporated the business.
2. The original Alora packaging with fabric labels.
3. One of my fave photos of the sign our dad made for us. He is still our #1 fan!
4. Anybody remember the original kraft boxes?
5. Made Oprah’s O List!
6. Trolley in tow full of diffusers to present to buyers.
7. Photo shoot when we changed the packaging in 2017.
8. ❤️❤️❤️
9. Steering the ship!
10. The original “nose”.
11. NYC bound to find a publicist!
12. Landing Barneys as an Alora retailer was huge!
13. Two thumbs up after a Barneys sales associate training in NYC.
14. Sweet old shot of our tiny villa on Lake Como.
15. And finally, Como, the newest scent launched last year and a beautiful reminder of where it all started.
