🌙 The last two weeks have been FULL of The Posies Collection, rolling out to clients who have been supporters for years - who have turned into friends and so much more ! That’s what I am most proud about with this small business the relationship that have been curated along the way 🥹✨

It’s been fun, a little chaotic, wildly creative, and honestly SO humbling to see this little idea come to life. Getting to play with the seasons, create something different, and sprinkle a little PFOP magic into the ber months has been the best kind of busy.

And the love and support you’ve shown this collection? I see you, I appreciate you, and I’m so damn grateful. 🤍

I don’t post every day because, honestly, keeping up with social media is EXHAUSTING 🤣

But I’m still here. Still creating. Still dreaming up new things. Still doing my thing behind the scenes, even when I’m not showing up on your feed every five minutes.

The truth is, life is happening over here. Kids are growing up way too fast, family needs me, the days are busy, and somewhere between running everyone everywhere, keeping up with life, and building this little business of mine, I’m trying to soak up the moments that matter most.

Sometimes I’m busy creating instead of content creating. Sometimes I’m choosing to be present instead of picking up my phone. And sometimes I’m just tired, and posting on Instagram is the LAST thing on my mind. 😂

I love this little business and the community that comes with it, but I also love my life outside of it. The messy, busy, beautiful life that doesn’t always make it onto social media.

So here’s your reminder that just because someone isn’t posting every day doesn’t mean they’ve disappeared. Sometimes they’re just out there living, loving their people, raising their kids, and making things happen behind the scenes.

Less pressure to perform. More room to live. More room to create.

And if you’re still here supporting Pockets Full of Posies, whether you’ve been here for years or just found me, thank you. You’re supporting more than a business. You’re supporting a family, a dream, and a whole lot of heart.

In honor of the Autumn Equinox that is upon us - I thought I would share a poem I had written a few years ago . That’s right this floral nerd also writes on occasion. It was always a dream of mine to be a writer because if we can’t dream then what is life.

Tonight, light meets dark
and the season turns..

The trees remind us
that letting go
can be beautiful too.

I’ll gather what grew,
release what is finished,
and trust the magic
waiting in what comes next.

Let’s talk about something you don’t always see when you look at a wedding bouquet… the JOURNEY these flowers take to get here. 🌸

Getting beautiful flowers to North Dakota can be quite the logistical adventure. Flowers are perishable, delicate, temperature sensitive little divas. 😂 They have to be grown, harvested at the right stage, carefully packed, transported, kept at the right temperature, unloaded, processed, hydrated and finally designed.

And depending on the flower, that journey can involve traveling a LONG way before it ever lands on a florist’s work table.

Which is why farm grown flowers are so incredibly special to me.

When I can source flowers from local or regional flower farms, there’s a whole lot less distance between the grower and the wedding. I get to work with flowers that were grown much closer to home and support another small business in the process.

Finding dahlias - celosia - gomphrena - unique foliage I am like a kid in a candy store.

The colors. The shapes. The movement. The varieties you don’t always see in traditional wholesale markets. Every bunch feels like a little treasure box. Personally I feel the bridal bouquet tells the story of the day and hopefully gets some jaw drops during the day !

So when you see locally grown flowers tucked into a PFOP wedding design, know that it’s about more than just a pretty bloom.

It’s a grower.
It’s a florist.
It’s a whole lot of logistics.
It’s supporting small businesses.
And it’s flowers grown with a little piece of home in them. 🌿💕
