Long arms aren't just for quilting quilts! I have a few heirloom quilts under my needle this week for repair for some nice folks hoping to get a few more years out of grandma's quilts!
I love seeing people repair quilts. They are meant to be used and loved. I don't mind a few patches and extra stiches on my quilts to keep giving them life!
My favorite part about these quilts are the fabrics used. I mean they used eveything!! Full on upholstery fabric, polyester, rayon, knitwear, coordiroy. So awesome! I'm always honored when I get to help someone keep their family's legacy via quilts alive!

I'm so pleased with how this fun quilt turned out! Pattern is by Missouri Star. Piecing the quilt top with these cheery floral prints and essix linen was so enjoyable. I quilted it with an all-over hibiscus free motion design. Much of the back has hand-drawn notes from students as the quilt is for a very special teacher. If we didn't love her so much I might have considered keeping this one for myself!

I really enjoyed piecing and quilting this fun pattern! I wanted the custom quilting to enhance the mountains, trees and aquifer-type components of the quilt. I don't typically like making multiple versions of the same quilt but I like this one so much I am considering a flannel version!

Love this wavy star free hand design for the Quilts of Valor project. It's off the longarm and ready to be passed to the next quilting artist for binding and ultimately gifting to a local veteran. Yay!

Today I am really honored to have a Quilts of Valor project on my longarm. It's my first time quilting for them and I am so excited to be part of this incredible organization. They work hard to wrap veterans in gorgeous quilts!
