We installed, applied a custom stain and finished this textured, solid white oak floor when this home was built in 2014. I went back to the home yesterday and the wood floor still looks brand new thanks to the Bona Traffic HD finish. The carpet in the bedrooms needs to be replaced already so the homeowner wants more wood. Solid wood floors for the win!

This is a new, 3/4" solid 2nd and better maple floor that we recently completed. At one point, this customer called to tell us that another company told her she had 1 1/8" particle board for her subfloor so she couldn't do what she wanted, solid wood. I told her I had never seen that in her neighborhood but what was common was 5/8" particle board over plywood. All we have to do I explained, was replace the particle board with OSB or CDX and we can successfully install a real, solid wood floor in her home. I confirmed this to her when I arrived at her house and simply looked inside the heat vent. When I saw the card of the guy who had been there before me, I realized he was the guy from one of Montana's major carpet stores that was recently in a TV ad bragging about his 30 years experience. Makes you wonder if he really didn't know the obvious or if he was being dishonest? Best part is she got what she wanted, got rid of the thin particle board layer making her house better, and came in under the carpet stores budget for a plywood floor! Solid wood floors last longer than we do.😁
