People think sewing is mostly stitching.
Experienced quilters know it's actually 80% ironing, 15% seam ripping, and 5% wondering where the scissors went.

Tell me you’re a quilter without telling me you’re a quilter. What phrases do you frequently use that others familiar with the craft would instantly recognize?

Here is July's list of upcoming events. Please note we will be closed over July 4th to enjoy time with our family. Also, the storefront will be closed over July 25th weekend as we will be set up at Arts in the Park in Hitchcock Park. See us there and stay while to paint ceramic or two. We will have other items for sale there, too.

A Purchase That Makes A Difference

These beautiful handcrafted Welcome and Family signed were lovingly painted by Chrissy, our former employee, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to ACT to help with their ADA accommodations seating.

Every sign purchased helps support a great cause while adding a warm, personal touch to your home.

Which would you choose? “Welcome” for your front door or entry? “Family” to display inside your home? Tell us in the comments!

If you’re looking for meaningful home decor - or a thoughtful gift - you can feel good knowing your purchase is giving back to the community.

Stop by and take a look before they’re gone! Every sign sold makes a difference!

We are excited to partner with the Rec Center for their June and July activities!

In June, participants will have the opportunity to:
~Paint and build a drink caddy on June 3rd
~Pick out leather and sew a credit card holder on June 10th
~Make a mosaic suncatcher with plexiglass, glue and cellophane on June 17th
~Make a macrame coaster with yarn and pipe cleaners on June 24th

Then in July, participants will have the opportunity to make a small quilt. There are two prices for this one, one has supplies included and the other is without supplies.

If you choose without supplies, you will need to bring with you 8 yards of fabric of your choosing (1-8 different fabrics or more if you so choose), baby batting for quilting.

We love working with other organizations to bring creative, hands-on experiences to our community. Whether you're trying something new or building on skills you already have, these activities are a great way to learn, create, and have fun.

We love being a part of bringing someone’s ideas to life!

Jill came in with a vision and asked if we could help create stencils for her project. Of course we could! On a canvas, with a little paint, a lot of trusting the process, and some creativity, the final outcome turned out amazing.

One of our favorite things is helping ideas become reality. Bring us your ideas and see if we can help you too!
