A lot of you, my friends, have commented on the precious song Brian Furkin of Brian Lane Designs made for me after he heard of my husband’s passing. In case you don’t see his comment/reply on the earlier post, I wanted to share it with you here, because he deserves to be heard and seen, too. What a sweet, kind, and thoughtful friend I have in Brian Furkin. I just love him for being a special friend to me… and so many of us. Love you, Brian 💞💞💞

The moment I heard that KK had lost her husband, my heart absolutely broke for her. I couldn't stop thinking about her. I felt such a strong need to do something—anything—that might bring even the smallest bit of comfort during such a difficult time. More than anything, I wanted her to know that she was seen, that she was loved, and that someone was carrying a piece of that sadness right alongside her.

What's strange is that this song seemed to write itself. The words came so easily, almost as if they were coming from somewhere beyond me. Who knows? Stranger things have happened.

But there is one thing I truly believe with all my heart: love doesn't end. The connection we share with the people we love doesn't simply disappear. It changes, but it remains.

KK, I love you. Even though we've never met in person, I feel like I've known you my whole life.
