Perfectly located in the historic Princess Theater building, Mocksville, North Carolina, The Artist Market on Main was opened in 2017 by Cynthia Clinard, who envisioned an "indoor artist market". With the goal of connecting established and emerging regional artists/authors and craftsmen with community, she was soon joined by Shari Keller, artist/instructor, who, along with her husband, became th

e new owners in 2021. Customers praise the ever-changing collections, which feature a wide range of artistic mediums, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, photography, pottery, textiles, jewelry, glass, sculpture, leather, woodwork and literary works to include fiction and non-fiction. The Artist Market on Main provides the community, and out of town visitors an inviting, friendly atmosphere for shopping and for learning.

To all the customers I(we) have come to know over the past 5 years:
You brightened our lives and it has been such a pleasure getting to know you and your families. This has been a journey together we did not want to end, but life changes for all of us. Even though our physical space in downtown will be gone, the artists who commissioned work through the gallery (stained glass, paintings, etc.) will continue, and as artists are available, the opportunity for some private group “Make & Take” classes will continue. Inquiries can be directed to [email protected].
Artist Market on Main was the result of 5+ years of hard work, dedication and vision for a real art gallery in this designated Main Street USA small town. With a sense of pride, I am happy to say this was achieved with many of our artists having works now residing all over the United States, along with numerous pieces being purchased by international travelers.
We anticipate selling the display furnishings, décor, equipment, business supplies (and more) in several weeks. A list of items will be forthcoming and can be requested by emailing us at [email protected].
