She had a vision of what her studio sign would look like and I helped make it a reality.
It’s the first time I’d cut individual letters, painted them and installed them.
It came out a little better than I expected!

This was a fun project to make. It’s carved on both sides. A good friend of mine wanted this address marker to hang in front of his historical home in CT.

I came up with a few design ideas and we worked together to get the result he was looking for.

It’s made from ColorCore plastic. I machine carved into the green and left the lettering and border embossed. It’ll never rot or need to be painted. I ended up putting two stainless steel eye bolts for hanging it up on the post.

Up until yesterday we’ve had this large wedding photo unframed. I’ve been wanting to hang it up with the honor it deserves.

I have several board feet of 100+ year old reclaimed oak barn wood at my disposal. This wood looks beautiful with all of the rough edges and saw cut marks.

I made a floater frame to hold the photograph and beveled the front face.

I really like the look of rustic & reclaimed wood. This paired up very well for our 36”x24” photo.

I’m finally able to post this project. I finished it 4 months ago but wasn’t able to deliver it until yesterday. My daughter-in-law saw a sign similar to this on Etsy. “Do you think you could make something like this?” Umm, yeah, for sure!
Typically makers use a CO2 laser to cutout thin lettering that stands out from the panel. I don’t have a laser but I do have a cnc router so I made it work.
Very fun piece to make. The next version will have a black background with the same gold lettering.
I do love making decorative signs.
For reference, this sign is 48”x21”
