I know I make candles for a living, but I did not sign up to experience what it feels like to be one. 🥵😂

In case your thermostat isn’t working, the current temp is set to broil… Our plan this morning was to be at the Summerville Farmers market, unfortunately a little car trouble prevented that. Not exactly how I wanted to start the day, but sometimes life likes to keep things interesting and we learn to pivot.😅

So my plan is simple: stay inside, stay hydrated, and only venture outdoors when absolutely necessary.

But for those of you brave enough to venture out, you can stock up on your favorite Alchemy & Fire goodies, at Yesterdays and Todays Unique Treasures in Moncks Corner. Bonus points for the air conditioning while you browse.

So, let’s all agree to keep our errands short, our drinks cold, and our exposure to this heat to an absolute minimum.

And yes, I’m seriously reconsidering taking the rest of the summer off….

Yes, I know I said I was going to slow down on markets this summer.

BUT...if you've known me for more than five minutes, you probably knew that wasn't going to last.

To be fair, I have been more intentional about my schedule, and trying to focus on markets that are happening during the earlier mornings and later afternoons, but somehow there magically seems to be just one more event that gets added to the calendar. 🤷‍♀️✨

Truth is, I love being out there- meeting new people. seeing familiar faces, talking fragrance and helping you discover scents that feel like YOU.

So while I may not be doing all the markets, you'll find me popping up at a few amazing events this summer:

As I settle into our new, expanded space at Yesterdays and Todays Unique Treasures, I’m excited to share something new with you!

In addition to our candles, body fragrances, and home fragrances, we’re proud to have partnered with Persephone's Garden to bring her handmade incense into the Alchemy & Fire collection.

Even more exciting, she has created two exclusive incense fragrances just for Alchemy & Fire that you won’t find anywhere else (the Black Cherry Vino 🤌). These custom blends were inspired by our brand and local living, and pair beautifully with the fragrance experience you’ve come to expect from us.

Supporting other small businesses has always been important to me, and when the opportunity came to collaborate with someone whose products complement ours so beautifully, it felt like a perfect fit.

Whether you’re creating a cozy evening ritual, refreshing your space, or looking for a thoughtful gift, you’ll now find even more ways to fill your home with beautiful fragrance.

One of the goals I’ve had since starting my business six years ago has been to have a space where customers could shop our full collection in one place.

One of the questions I get asked most often at markets is, “Do you have a storefront?”

Today, the answer is… kind of.

I’m excited to share that Alchemy & Fire Candle Co. is expanding inside Yesterdays and Todays Unique Treasures! While it’s not a standalone storefront (yet), I’m moving from a single 5-shelf bookcase into a 5’ x 8’ booth space where I’ll be able to offer nearly all of our candles, roller perfumes, body sprays, room sprays, and home fragrance products in one location.

As exciting as this move is, it’s also a reminder that growth doesn’t have to happen all at once.

When I first started this business, I had big dreams and big goals, but I’ve learned that sustainable growth happens one step at a time. Growing too quickly can become overwhelming, while growing too slowly can leave you feeling stuck. The sweet spot is steady, intentional growth—taking the next right step when the time is right.

This new space feels like exactly that.

And honestly, the timing couldn’t be better. As we head into the summer months and the heat settles in, I’ll be slowing down on markets a bit. Having a larger retail space means you’ll still have a place to shop Alchemy & Fire while I spend the summer creating, planning, and preparing for the busy fall season ahead.

Thank you for supporting every stage of this journey—from kitchen creations and market tents to bookshelves and now a booth space that truly feels like a little Alchemy & Fire shop of its own.

I can’t wait to share the finished space with you.
