WOW. ❤️

Because of this incredible community, together we raised OVER $6,500 for those affected by the downtown fire.

Thank you to every single person who came out to support the fundraiser raffle, purchased tickets, donated baskets or prizes, shared our posts, or simply showed up to support our downtown community. The amount of love and generosity shown over the past few days has been truly overwhelming.

We also want to give an EXTRA HUGE thank you to Katie Turner and Judy Meier for everything they did to help organize, coordinate, and bring this raffle together. None of this would have been possible without their hard work, dedication, and countless hours behind the scenes.

Monroe continues to prove that when hardship strikes, this community rallies together stronger than ever. We are so proud to be part of such a caring and compassionate downtown.

Thank you all again from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️

We have to share our deepest gratitude for Judy Meier, owner of Artful Gourmet and Katie Turner, owner of Monroe Custom Engraving!

If you attended the Night Market this past Saturday, this mother daughter duo was responsible for putting together over 50 business gift baskets to raise funds for everyone impacted by the fire.

Their generosity, leadership, and willingness to step up on such short notice made a meaningful difference for our community.

Thanks to their tireless efforts which they pulled off in about 18 hours !!, over $6,500 was raised!

We also want to thank everyone who bought a raffle ticket Saturday night and all of those who donated items for the baskets to make the efforts possible.

With support from people like Judy and Katie, we are continuing to figure out how to best support those impacted by the fire and hope to be sharing ways the community can continue being involved.

We are absolutely overwhelmed by the love and support shown at the Downtown Fire Fundraiser raffle during the Night Market hosted by Monroe Main Street. Seeing our community come together the way it did was truly incredible. From local businesses donating baskets, gift cards, and prizes, to every single person who bought raffle tickets or made donations — thank you for showing what Monroe is all about.

We also need to give a HUGE shoutout and an enormous thank you to Katie Turner from Monroe Custom Engraving. This fundraiser raffle would not have come together the way it did without her incredible hard work, organization, and dedication. Katie helped turn an idea into something truly meaningful for our downtown community, and we are beyond grateful for everything she did behind the scenes to make this event possible.

The raffle was an amazing success, but more importantly, it was a reminder that our downtown is filled with compassionate, generous people who rally together in times of need.

All raffle winners have been notified and may pick up their baskets and prizes at The Artful Gourmet during normal business hours.

At this time, we are not able to provide final donation totals because donations are STILL coming in! If you would still like to contribute, both Busy Bee and The Artful Gourmet are continuing to accept donations in person.

Cash and checks are accepted. If bringing a check to The Artful Gourmet, please make checks payable to “Monroe Main Street Inc.”

We wanted to take a moment to answer some of the questions we’ve been receiving about tonight’s Downtown Fire Fundraiser Raffle at the Night Market hosted by Main Street Monroe, Inc.

🧺 The raffle will run from 5:00 PM to 8:15 PM tonight during the Night Market.
🎟️ The drawing will take place at 8:15 PM.
📞 You do NOT need to be present to win, but all tickets must include your phone number so we can contact winners.

Tickets can be purchased at the market tonight, but you may also stop into The Artful Gourmet today between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM to purchase tickets in advance.

While you do not need to be present for the drawing itself, you WILL need to attend the market to place your tickets into the baskets and prizes you’d like to enter for. We have a huge variety of amazing baskets and raffle prizes available thanks to the incredible generosity of our local businesses and community members. We’ll be posting more details later this morning showing some of the prizes available!

We will also be accepting direct donations in cash or by check. Checks should be made payable to “Monroe Main Street Inc.” with “Downtown Fire Fundraiser” written in the memo line.

Tomorrow, Saturday, May 16th, we will be holding a basket raffle during the Night Market hosted by Main Street Monroe, Inc. in support of those affected by the recent downtown fire.

The raffle will take place from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM, with the drawing happening at 8:15 PM. We will have a wide variety of raffle prizes available, generously donated by local businesses and community members. Tickets will be available for purchase at the Night Market for $1 each, and all proceeds raised will go directly toward helping those impacted by this tragedy.

The response from our local businesses and community has been nothing short of incredible. Monroe continues to show just how strong, compassionate, and supportive this town truly is. We will rally together, support one another, and help rebuild what has been lost.

Please continue to support local whenever you can. Our downtown businesses are the heart of this community, and now more than ever, we need to lift each other up ❤️

Yesterday, our community faced one of the greatest fears shared by everyone who lives and works on Monroe’s Square — fire.

Bartels Tap and Sunrise Donut Cafe suffered extensive damage following a fire outbreak yesterday morning, leaving businesses disrupted and tenants displaced. Our hearts break for the families, business owners, employees, and residents facing such tremendous loss.

At the same time, we are incredibly grateful. Thanks to the phenomenal response from emergency services, no lives were lost and no one was harmed. The bravery, professionalism, and quick action shown by every department involved helped prevent an even greater tragedy.

Monroe is strong. This community has always been filled with thoughtful, caring people who show up for one another when it matters most. In difficult moments like this, we are reminded that together we are stronger than we are apart.

In the coming days, we will share more information on ways our community can support those affected by this devastating loss. Until then, please continue to keep everyone impacted in your thoughts.
