This light and airy kitchen had been patiently waiting its turn for the cabinets to reflect the space.

An upper set of cabinets had metal frame doors (which clean up like a dream for this amazing cook) which stayed, but adding White Dove to the frames, interiors and crown helped it pop even more. The island melts into the kitchen and White Dove would not have worked well there, so that space went to SW Urbane Bronze.

A perfectly beautiful space now, looking like it was always this way ❤

You may recall this kitchen from back in May during an extreme heatwave. After getting into the work of the prep, it turned out this kitchen had been painted FOUR times and the paint was just flaking off unexpectedly. Despite that setback, it was scraped back to raw wood in most cases, and then it was business as usual (other than the paint basically sliding off the frames from the heat and no AC in the space 🤣).

We ended up doing all new doors to ensure that there would not be a repeat of the frames, the countertops were replaced, and all new door hardware. This original kitchen, is original no more and should last many, many years to come ❤

One thing I will say about 2026 is that my clients' creative side is coming out 🔥 and I've done very few whites this year with many blues and greens being requested. I'll always be faithful to BM White Dove, but it sure is a nice change to do something different.

This client went ALLL in with choosing their hardware, their countertop, their gorgeous backsplash, AND their cabinet color BM Sea Salt. This space perfectly reflects their style and I know they will enjoy it for years to come ❤

I've got a few postings to catch up on, so here's the first one!

It doesn't look like a major change, but sometimes it's the subtle things in life that make the most impact. This client had the beautiful Taj Mahal countertop installed and then that made the white cabinets look way to stark. In addition, some cabinetry/hood etc...that had been added since the original upgrade years prior and the lighting made it appear as if there were 3 different shades of the same color.

So, we start from fresh with a new ,design flexible update using the infamous BM White Dove of course. Add in a new, glossier backsplash to tie it all in and voila, problem solved...and loved ❤

PS-I promise it's a different color, pictures don't show the subtlety 😂 First 3 are Before, 2nd 3 are After.

I feel like I should be getting a gold star ⭐️ today posting a kitchen within 24 hours of install 😂. For those of you that don’t know, I also manage the Monroe Farmers Market from June to October, so life gets a little chaotic around here 🍓 (hence the gold star request)

I was grateful for a little White Dove action this week to keep me calm with no surprises of a new color 😂. This is my SIXTH kitchen in this neighborhood too and the 3rd on this street- I so love building a network of wonderful referrals here that want to show off their kitchens!

Guys guess what??! I finished an actual kitchen that I can post about as it didn’t need other things still to get done 😆

Welcome to my first dark and moody color kitchen 😍. This was BM Abyss which is an absolute rockstar chameleon of a color between navy and black.

See that little dark square in the backsplash? That was our inspiration color to get the ball rolling and Huntington Paint & Wallpaper nailed it with their color recommendation!

Cleaned up the k***s, swapped out the handles, installed soft close hinges and she’s ready for all the entertaining this house sees as the new show piece of the home ❤️

It’s been such a fun year so far of doing color in my clients kitchens! (I think I can count the White Dove ones on just one hand 😂)

Look at the beautiful BM Saybrook Sage at 125% saturation just done this week 😍

When you have the Monday-est Monday in awhile 😩.

These cabinets had 3 layers of paint on them. After sanding for 4 hours as part of my prep today, I accidentally nicked the edge of one of the frames and a sheet of paint fell off 🥹.

Silly me picked at it and all of a sudden, the entire kitchen turned into Pandora’s box as I needed to get to the bottom this mystery! 2 hours of hand picking and scraping later, this kitchen has been ‘peeled’ back to its original wood. This means that 3 coats ago, the original painter did not use primer and just through some paint on them. 🤦‍♀️

While I wasn’t thrilled about the extra hours, I’m happy for my clients that I won’t be the 4th coat of paint on these cabinets and they get to start from ‘new’.

Just like the rest of my clients…but I have no idea when my doors will be finished and go back on 🤣

I’ll be enjoying my Open concept kitchen until I am able to refinish these doors, while my clients all know within the week, theirs will be back.

I am about to become my own nightmare client this week 🤦‍♀️

I'm a tad behind in posting kitchen transformations (tad is an understatement), so let's kick off our Monday with the most recent one!

This light 🌟and airy 💨 space was a little heavy with the dark cabinets and our homeowner also wanted it extended to the ceiling to avoid the dust collection that inevitably happens. They added a new backsplash themselves, replaced the countertop and chose colors that matched their space (new wall color is on the agenda).

We went with BM Stone White which is a white with the palest gray tint to it, and Northern Skies for the island just for fun and color. Can't wait to see the new wall color and everything tied in together 😍
