Fragrant and delicate brushes of hyacinths appear in gardens in the spring among the first, but their life is short. Since ancient times, mankind has sought to prolong this charm. An agricultural technique by which a plant is artificially brought out of a state of dormancy, its growth is accelerated and it is forced to bloom and bear fruit at an unusual time for the crop is called forcing. For successful forcing, the bulbs must be properly selected and prepared. Forcing of hyacinths begins in the fall, and modern technologies allow obtaining hyacinth flowers from the end of December to May.
