The team and I have been burning the midnight oil working on our project. I feel like this week/weekend has been a blur. But full of creativity.

I just wanted to share a sneak peek at a couple of the spaces. We are really paying attention into integrating biophilia, while at the same time keeping it natural, but always clean and crisp. happy Saturday everyone!

Ladies rooms are always an opportunity snap a selfie, especially where brides are concerned. I wanted the ladies room at our Crossed Keys Estate project to feel elegant with a slight rustic vibe. I liked the idea of creating the illusion of a large continuous floor mirror.

This picture is of the bridal suite. It’s sometimes a shared space with the groomsmen, so we wanted it to be soft but edited. And even though modern design is my first love, when I translate our more traditional/transitional projects, I come from from a place of focused color and restraint.

Our kitchen is done! Yeah right, I wish my kitchen renovation went this quickly (hint hint Shaun Killman). Not yet! But the next best thing is a rendered video walkthrough.

So for some of my design highlights and decisions, I am refacing the fireplace wall in a opaque white brick to keep in line with the whole mid-century vibe. Hidden behind the fireplace bump out will be the t.v on a hydraulic arm that pulls out over the white bookcase on the right and cantilevers towards the living room seating area. And no I don’t want an art piece over the fireplace 😁. I am going to save that for other areas of the room.

The kitchen has all white custom perimeter cabinets, with a seamless cabinet faced refrigerator from Fisher & Paykel , and the corner cabinets will also hide the coffee center, as well as the pantry. In fact the only appliance that I want to see is the profile stove from GE Appliances , which will get a brushed brass clad modern hood above it to pull in the brass from the rest of the room.

I have a love affair with real marble, and I know a lot of people get really upset with the wear and tear of it, but for me, it’s a must have. The marble will be applied on the countertops, as well as all the way up the backsplash wall in the kitchen. I also wanted a thinner edge detail with the stone, and decided against building up the stone anymore than is existing.

Because we have the pantry and the closed in area in the corner, I wanted open shelving, to keep it light and bright by the stove and sink area. We decided to go with a curved edge detail on the island, and the island will also be in a stained black finish, with a walnut wood trim detail by the toe kick, as well as directly underneath the marble stone top. And lastly, yes because I just can’t do without them, I have to have the large precision pendants over the island.

Now I just need my appliances to come in (hint hint ) and my husband to build everything (BIGGER hint 😂
