This is “The Study” at our DuPont Circle darling, Swann House. I love this shot by because it shows off our antique Persian wool rug mural. 😍 You may have noticed I love a wall mounted rug…I have them installed at our office, at home, at , at Swann House (pictured), at …aside from being a form of original art, they also helps # with acoustics in commercial spaces and they are surprisingly economical per square foot, when considering the size of the artwork. This one is even lovelier in person and the colors were perfect for this space!

This was fun to wake up to today! Wendy of Chair Whimsy posted a YouTube video about her stay with us at our Key West property! (Entirely unprompted and unsponsored.)

I've admired Wendy since my shop girl days as we were both in the business of upcycling furniture with unique textiles and unexpected color combos. I didn't know she was staying with us until our innkeeper asked if a guest could take footage of some of the other rooms, and she did this entirely on her own. 🥰

Good morning from {verdigreen} HQ!

Here’s the latest update.
We have been working on:

- our New Hampshire restaurant renovation & opening the barn for season (pics 2 & 3)

- a Norooz family trip to Tokyo (4)

- getting our DC property ready for the next phase (5)

- arranging for aerial photos at our Treasure Island boutique motel (6)

- managing eight properties and attempting a work-life balance, going on walks in the neighborhood (7)

- and putting the final touches on our new office (8.)

It’s been a busy Winter! We are looking forward to wrapping up projects this Spring and sharing our new spaces with you guys.

Even though we loved the yellow cottage before, we wanted to rebrand it as The Captain to honor its Air Force roots and the bright blue hue just felt a little more regal.

To create a more substantial appearance, we paneled the metal columns with wood planks.

We used color theory for a pop of fun complementary orange and kept the trim and door white so the new paint color stands alone.

We are back in Key West this week and it's perfect timing because the images we took in April are edited and ready to share!

Check out our {verdigreen} property in Old Town Key West Marrero's Guest Mansion

It's a historic Victorian mansion turned micro hotel that we bought just under a year ago. We renovated and rebranded it and are enjoying our visit this week now that the hard stuff is behind us. 😎

We replaced almost all of the furnishings, sourced new art, linens, rugs, pillows, lighting, etc. and you may even notice some Annie Sloan projects as well! Krisztina Crane beautifully captured the space...even more photos on the hotel FB page!
