Did you grow herbs this year? Which ones are your must-haves and how do you use them?

I've always wanted to grow LOTS of herbs! So when I was recently challenged to create growing plants on a fence, I knew just what to do!

Reaching out to my generous neighbours, one-by-one I accumulated a bunch of larger tin cans that all happened to be from coffee... coordinating in blue, green and brown. What are the odds?!

Embracing their original, colourful labels, my little herb garden is thriving on the garden fence! However I do have a few tips that I think make this idea work so the herb cans don't dry out too quickly! Visit the blog post for all the details.

All I know is, I love the look and now get to pinch a few fresh herb leaves to help enhance my cooking!

But I do have lots to learn on how to use herbs. What herbs do you like in which dishes? So far, I love basil with ground beef... but would love to hear YOUR fav combinations and how you do it!
